Thacher Intramural Competition

Fall 2026

Important Dates: The Thacher Intramural Competition will take place on September 26-27, 2026, and the final round will be held on October 2, 2026.

About the Competition: The Thacher Intramural Competition is an annual competition in which 2L Scalia Law students compete in a criminal trial problem in teams of two as either the defense or prosecution while being judged by local practitioners and judges. The Thacher Competition provides Scalia Law students the opportunity to grow as advocates, become courtroom-ready attorneys, and make connections with local attorneys and judges. Thacher is also a great opportunity for students who want to compete on an extramural team to show off their skills!

Judges: If you are a local practitioner, law school professor, or judge who would like to judge one or more rounds of the Thacher competition, please let us know here:  Thacher Judge Sign-Up

Competitors: Regardless of whether or not you have a partner, please sign up to compete here: Competitor Interest Form by September 5th at 11:59 PM. Competitors will be assigned a side on September 9th.
