Best Brief in the ABA’s National Appellate Advocacy Contest

Congratulations to the GMUSL moot court team of ‘3L’s Lynzi Maas, Molly Picard, and Zachary Deubler for submitting the best brief out of 32 teams in the D.C. Regional qualifying round of the ABA’s National Appellate Advocacy Contest, held on Feb. 25-27.   This year’s problem concerned the legality of a warrantless search of a policeman’s workplace locker and the applicability of federal hate crimes legislation to the patrolman’s shooting of an unarmed motorist pulled over for a routine traffic stop.
