Venue

The 2025 John L. Costello Competition will be held at the Antonin Scalia Law School in Arlington, Virginia. All rounds will be in person.

Case Materials

The 2025 Case Packet will be released to teams by December 23, 2024. The Case Packet will be emailed to the email(s) provided to Scalia Law Trial Advocacy Association when your team registered.

Coaches

Eligibility: Coaches may be any individual who is not a current law student.
Attendance: Teams with a coach are encouraged to have their coach present at the competition to support and guide their team.

Witnesses

Teams are required to provide one witness who is not a competitor.

Costello Reception

The Scalia Law Trial Advocacy Association will host a reception for competitors and coaches. The Costello Reception will feature food, music, and the announcement of newly emerging information about the evolving Costello case.  All teams and coaches are encouraged to attend.
