NSI Open House

Current Challenges for the Intelligence Community

Dr. Sally Botsai spent twelve years in Operations before she was selected for a tour as the NSA representative in the White House Situation Room. She was the first NSA woman to hold this position. After her two-year tour, she was asked to return as the Deputy Director of the White House Situation Room. She held this position until 1976. She also attended the National War College, again the first NSA woman to do so, graduating in 1977.

New Dynamics of Energy Security

In this lecture, Dr. Sara Vakhshouri (Founder and President of SVB Energy International, a strategic energy consulting firm) will discuss new trends and development in the energy industry and their impacts on global energy security. Issues to be discussed include US sanctions on Iran and Venezuela; shale oil and gas production and changes in the energy trade flow; and OPEC, Saudi Arabia, and Russia.
