placeholder image 2

Join the National Security Institute to celebrate the bicentennial of the Monroe Doctrine, where we will explore its historical roots, its evolving legacy, and its potential relevance to the modern geopolitical landscape. The event features keynote remarks by Senator Jim Risch (R-ID), Ranking Member of the Senator Foreign Relations Committee, followed by a panel of experts examining how the Monroe Doctrine has reemerged within the U.S. policymaking community as a potential tool to counter adversarial states—particularly China—as they increase their presence in the Western Hemisphere. Breakfast opens at 9:30 a.m. ET, and remarks and panel will begin at 10:00 a.m. ET. Space is limited, so we highly encourage you to register at our event page.
