Practicing the Faith and Practicing the Law
October 27, 2022 @ 12:15 pm - 2:00 pm

Please join the Thomas More Society and the Christian Legal Society for a discussion with the Honorable Paul J. Ray on Thursday, October 27 at 12:15 p.m. Mr. Ray will speak on “Practicing the Faith and Practicing the Law”. Mr. Ray is an enthusiast of the Western Canon, and attendees can expect insight on how to connect day-to-day work as a lawyer to such lofty philosophical frameworks as Aquinas’ Summa Theologica. As Acting Administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) in 2020, Mr. Ray led federal efforts on regulatory reform. Before his time at OIRA, Paul Ray served as counselor to the U.S. Secretary of Labor, and an attorney specializing in administrative appellate law. Mr. Ray is a graduate of Harvard Law School, with past clerkships for Judge Debra Ann Livingston of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and for Justice Samuel A. Alito of the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Ray now leads The Heritage Foundation’s work on regulatory and economic policy as director of the Thomas A. Roe Institute for Economic Policy Studies.
