Legal Career Services: Government Career Opportunities Panel Discussion

March 2, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm

Please join the Career Services Office for a virtual panel discussion on careers in government. The speakers will be our alumni who work in a variety of different agencies.  The panel discussion will be held over Zoom.  Room 121 in the law school has been reserved for students to use to log into the panel discussion from their laptops (snacks will be available).  Please RSVP in Symplicity under the Events tab; you will find the Zoom link there.

  • All first-year, all second-year, and third-year evening students should join the panel from 12:00-12:35 pm for a discussion on what government practice is like and steps students should take in law school to become marketable to agencies.
  • Third-year day and fourth-year evening students should join the panel from 12:40-1:15 pm. The discussion will begin with all the panelists sharing advice on securing post-graduation employment within the government.  Then we will move into breakout rooms, if necessary, based on practice area to allow our speakers to share specific advice on finding a public sector entry-level job in that area of law.  All graduating students are encouraged to attend.
