Legal Career Services: Financial, Regulatory, and FinTech Career Opportunities Panel Discussion

March 3, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm

Antonin Scalia Law School

Please join the Career Services Office for a panel discussion on careers in the financial services industry including government agencies regulating the industry as well as financial institutions. The speakers will be our alumni with careers in the field and will include both practicing attorneys and non-legal positions.  The panel discussion will be held over Zoom.  Room 221 in the law school has been reserved for students to use to log into the panel discussion from their laptops.  Please RSVP via Symplicity in the Events Tab (you’ll find the Zoom link there).

  • All first-year, all second-year, and third-year evening students should join the panel from 12:15-12:40 pm for a discussion on what a career in financial services is like and steps students should take in law school to become marketable to employers (government agencies, firms, and financial institutions)
  • Third-year day and fourth-year evening students should join the panel from 12:40-1:15 pm. The discussion will begin with all the panelists sharing advice on securing post-graduation employment.  Then we will move into breakout rooms based on the type of employer (government agency, firm or financial institution) to allow our speakers to share specific advice on finding an entry-level job
