The Family Law Society is hosting a Speaker Event with Professor Alvaré on Tuesday, March 29^th at 12pm in Room 120.

Professor Alvaré will be speaking about the practice of family law and the pending Supreme Court case Brackeen v. Haaland which asks whether the Indian Child Welfare Act of 1978’s placement preferences that disfavor non-Indian adoptive families in child-placement proceedings discriminate on the basis of race in violation of the U.S. Constitution.
