{"id":865,"date":"2020-01-03T18:31:09","date_gmt":"2020-01-03T18:31:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sls.gmu.edu\/web\/?p=865"},"modified":"2021-09-13T15:47:45","modified_gmt":"2021-09-13T15:47:45","slug":"submitting-a-new-event-on-ems","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sls.gmu.edu\/web\/2020\/01\/03\/submitting-a-new-event-on-ems\/","title":{"rendered":"Submitting A New Event on EMS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Event Management System allows events to be added to the Master calendar as well as the Special Events calendar that will display events on the EMS RSS Feed.<\/p>\n<p>Note: You must have administrator privileges in order to make the following changes.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sls.gmu.edu\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/01\/Master-Calendar1.png\" alt=\"\"  \/><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Check the featured event box if you want the event and corresponding image to be seen on the master calendar carousel. This is not required.<\/li>\n<li>Add the Event Title<\/li>\n<li>Add the Event Link. This is usually the registration link, or the link to the event found on the Center&#8217;s website<\/li>\n<li>Copy and paste the Description using the HTML Editor.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sls.gmu.edu\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/01\/Master-Calendar2.png\" alt=\"\"  \/><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The contact name and email will be filled in automatically. Check the hide box if you want your contact information hidden from being displaying<\/li>\n<li>In the Calendar drop down, you may select multiple entries. If you only want the event to appear on the homepage RSS feed, select Special Events<\/li>\n<li>Enter the Center or School name under department<\/li>\n<li>Enter the Name of the location and link. The link field is not required.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sls.gmu.edu\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/01\/Master-Calendar3.png\" alt=\"\"  \/><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Specify the time and whether or not the event lasts all day.<\/li>\n<li>Include the Event Image for every event.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Event Management System allows events to be added to the Master calendar as well as the Special Events calendar that will display events on the EMS RSS Feed.
