DESCRIPTION:OutLaw is happy to announce it is partnering with the Virginia LGBTQ+ Bar Association (formerly the Virginia Equality Bar Association)\, BaryLaw\, and the George Mason University LGBTQ+ Resource Center to host another Gender Marker and Name Change Clinic on September 14\, 2024. \nIf you are seeking FREE assistance with name change applications\, administrative and judicial petitions for gender marker changes\, birth certificate corrections\, DMV and social security record updates\, DD214 updates (military discharge records)\, voter registration changes\, and answering related legal questions\, we invite you to sign up for an appointment. Clinic appointments will start at 1:00 p.m! \nIf you are a law student or VA licensed attorney and would like to volunteer\, please sign up to volunteer. The training is expected to be approved for two hours of MCLE credit. Training begins at 10:00 a.m. The precise location will be shared in the final event reminder emails. DESCRIPTION:If you are planning to take the MPRE in August\, the school is hosting a free MPRE Workshop August 3\, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. We will review the most commonly tested rules\, test taking strategies\, and take a mini-MPRE quiz.  Free practice materials will be distributed. \nLunch will be provided. In order to ensure we have enough food\, please RSVP through Symplicity. \nIf you are planning to take the MPRE in November\, please note that the recommended accommodations deadline is July 24. The deadline to register for the November MPRE is September 12. It is strongly recommended that you register as soon as possible in order to get your preferred date\, time\, and location. To register for the MPRE and to find out more information\, visit the NCBE website.
