DESCRIPTION:If you are planning to take the MPRE in August\, the school is hosting a free MPRE Workshop August 3\, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. We will review the most commonly tested rules\, test taking strategies\, and take a mini-MPRE quiz.  Free practice materials will be distributed. \nLunch will be provided. In order to ensure we have enough food\, please RSVP through Symplicity. \nIf you are planning to take the MPRE in November\, please note that the recommended accommodations deadline is July 24. The deadline to register for the November MPRE is September 12. It is strongly recommended that you register as soon as possible in order to get your preferred date\, time\, and location. DESCRIPTION:ACS\, OutLaw\, If/When/How\, and PAD Present: Esteemed attorney and transgender rights maverick D Dangaran for an invigorating and lively discussion about the breakthroughs in gender-affirming care and the upcoming SCOTUS case U.S. v. Skrmetti. D is the Director of Gender Justice at Rights Behind Bars\, has argued federal appeals cases\, and has litigated in federal district courts on behalf of incarcerated people. They specialize in helping incarcerated trans people access necessary gender-affirming care. D is a Filipino-Black non-binary trans femme/fairy hailing from and rooted in Wahiawā\, Hawai‘i. They are a first-generation graduate of Yale University and Harvard Law School and a former clerk on the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. D currently serves as the co-chair of the National Trans Bar Association. Shawarmas will be served\, with a vegan (falafel) option available.

DESCRIPTION:Join Mason Sport and Entertainment Law Association for a special event featuring 2L Devin Gray. Devin will discuss the importance of maintaining physical fitness during law school and beyond. Unfortunately\, with the challenges and time commitment of law school\, it’s easy to let physical health slide\, which can affect mental well-being too. Devin will share practical tips on staying fit\, even with a demanding schedule. Before law school\, Devin owned a personal training studio for nine years\, working with a wide variety of clients\, including NCAA D1 athletes\, busy lawyers\, powerlifting grandmothers\, and even the cast of a Marvel movie!
