DESCRIPTION:In August 2022\, the FBI conducted a raid on the home of former President Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago golf resort\, resulting in the seizure of over 100 documents marked as classified.  This event put into the headlines the arcane world of how the U.S. government classifies and protects its most sensitive secrets\, and the role of the President in its protection.\n\nGeneral Michael Hayden and the Hayden Center invite you to attend KEEPING SECRETS\, our first panel discussion of the academic year\, and our first in-person event since the onset of the pandemic\, next Tuesday\, September 20\, at 7 p.m.!  The discussion will explore how classified material is handled at the White House\, what exactly was found at Mar-a-Lago\, what potential damage to U.S. national security was incurred\, what shortcomings the U.S. system may have\, and what remedies may exist.\n\n\nFood and drink will be served following the event!\n\n\nWATCH LIVE STREAM: youtube.com/c/haydencenter
