SUMMARY:Cherry Blossom Event with SEEL and ILS
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Sunday\, March 27th at 4 PM for a joint event between the Society for Environmental and Energy Law (SEEL) and the Immigration Law Society (ILS). Meet us on the patio for snacks\, then we will metro to DC. \nThe SEEL Discussion at the beginning of the event will be centered around “The Plant and Quarantine Act of 1912: Cherry Blossoms and Invasive Species.” SEEL members will discuss the history of the Cherry Blossoms at the Tidal Basin in Washington\, DC\, and how the gifting of the trees led to the passage of one of the earliest federal invasive species legislation in our country. The ILS group will conduct a guided discussion at the end of the event about immigration law in DC and Japanese immigration in general. \nWe will take a tour through the Cherry Blossoms during peak bloom. \nWe hope to see you all there! \nRSVP here!
