Copyright Career Panel and Networking Event

The Washington, DC Chapter of the Copyright Society of the United States will be holding a Copyright Career Panel and Networking Event, on January 16, 2013 from 6pm to 8:30 pm in the Faculty Conference Center of The George Washington University Law School, Burns Building Room 505, 716 20th Street, NW, Washington, DC.

 

This event should be of interest to anyone who is interested in pursuing a career that includes copyright law as a major component.  The event will begin with a panel discussion that will explore the range of career paths open to those interest in copyright, and strategies for getting a copyright law career off the ground.  The panel will be followed by a networking event featuring over a dozen “mentor for an evening” attorneys who work in a wide variety of positions in private practice, industry, trade associations, and government that focus on copyright and related areas.  Biographies of all participating mentor attorneys will be circulated in advance to all who RSVP, and the attorneys will identified by name tags that indicate their willingness to share advice and experience.

 

Admission is free to currently registered law students, and $20 for those who have already graduated from law school.  Students will also have an opportunity at the event to join the Copyright Society of the USA for $25 .  Please RSVP in advance to csusadc@gmail.com.
